*SMTP:  Most carriers can take email messages from the Internet and deliver them to their customers’ cell phones as SMS text messages.  This method of message delivery is called SMTP.  Although SMTP tends to be reliable (it works well enough for Southwest Airlines to send text messages about flight information), it is dependent upon a variety of factors that can lead to delays and/or dropped messages.  Therefore, SMTP can be less reliable than standard message delivery.  SMTP also requires that we know your message recipients’ carrier information.  You can manually add carrier information, or we can look up the numbers for you for $0.04/number.  If you have questions about whether or not SMTP will meet your specific needs, Contact Us
